Testimonials
I’m not sure if words could do justice for what a safari with Gerrie is like. He is rather like the mayor of the Kruger guides…I’m not certain how many different guides stopped to ask him for advice, but it was over a dozen. They know what we found out: he knows where everything is, and he is willing to share that information. He can see animals at a distance that would look like shadows to anyone else, and goes off the beaten path to get closer. His pictures are fabulous, and his knowledge outstanding. At the same time, and as importantly, Gerrie is a gentleman. I was taking my 73 year-old mother, and he helped her get up into the truck, found a footrest for her, and treated her with all the care and respect in the world. Kruger itself is amazing, and I suspect one could enjoy it with even a poor guide, but Gerrie is next-level awesome. He loves animals, but might love the people even more. His day with us was over 14 hours long, and he was as gracious and hospitable at the end as he was at the start. I would willingly believe he is not just the best guide in Kruger National Park, but the best man.
We had the pleasure of experiencing an incredible safari tour in Kruger National Park with Gerrie as our guide, and it was truly unforgettable. Gerrie’s expertise was evident from the very start – he had an impressive knowledge of all the animals, their habits, and the park’s ecology. His passion for wildlife and sharp eyes meant that we spotted an amazing variety of animals throughout the day. From majestic elephants and stealthy leopards to vibrant bird species, every moment was filled with awe and excitement.
Gerrie’s engaging storytelling and friendly demeanor made the whole day an absolute delight. We were entertained, educated, and in constant awe of the beauty around us. This experience is, without a doubt, a must-do for anyone visiting South Africa, and we wholeheartedly recommend Gerrie as a guide. His dedication and skills made our day in Kruger truly special, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to explore this magnificent park.
Gerrie was simply fabulous right from our pre-booking stages through to the end. He is the perfect guide for a great Kruger experience - the best blend of experience, knowledge, passion and love for the animals. We observed that he was well known by park rangers and most other safari guides. He went out of his way in sharing sighting updates and tips with the other private vehicles. He was well aware of the right spots at the right times and his instincts were spot on! We spotted the Big 5 and much more! Our experience was beyond what we expected…by far the most memorable part of our SA trip.
Gerrie is an extremely passionate, experienced, well connected and respected guide. Thanks for a phantastic day.
